Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips has slammed his colleague, Qdot, for declaring him alive after reports of his death surfaced.

Oladips in a series of posts on his Instagram stories Thursday, accused Qdot of seeking attention by prematurely asserting his well-being during a challenging time.

Oladips also called out a social media user for sharing an outdated video as proof of his current status and criticised bloggers for allegedly misleading the public.

He wrote, “I know there is cruise, there is clout, and then there is truth…!!!

“Qdot the reason why you posted ‘My gee is alive’ at a time my family was unsure of my situation is so appalling & uncalled for.

“I dey where I dey struggle with my life you dey post ‘my gee is alive’. Unnecessarily misleading everyone. Made it look like me and you just had a conversation.

“Bro I went through it hard & anything could have happened. The last time I & you had any conversation was Jan 2nd 2022. I get proof & soon I’ll tell the story in full!

“Cos why una dey always do like this for this industry tori Olorun?

“And to the stupid boy that posted that I was eating turkey & rice say I dey ‘set ring light’, even posted a video of us hugging each other, making it look like I pranked Nigerians or pulled a stunt, for the record. That video he posted is ‘2 years old’. I get proof… the video was made at my house in Orchid, crazy thing yeah? I don’t even live in that house anymore. tey tey sef!

“There was never a video or post of me telling Nigerians ‘heyyy everyone it’s a prank!!!’ it was all speculation based on hearsay and clout chasing, bloggers misleading gullible Nigerians for likes & comments, and the smart ones know how to put 1&2 together so I am not bothered… I was not with my phones or online all that period. Sheybi nah person wey even dey healthy dey remember social media!

“ANYWAYS, just in case I’m not as accessible or as kind as I used to be. nah people like this boy cause am cos nah help I help the boy, that short clip he posted almost ruined me and I don’t think he understands the gravity of what he’s done yet! but he will.”

Oladips’ management had in a statement released via his Instagram page announced that the rapper passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

However, Oladips’ colleague and close associate, Qdot, shared a picture of Oladips the following day revealing that the rapper was alive.

Odumodublvck, the Nigerian rapper, has fired back at Jaywon, the singer, over his recent statement about his music.

In an interview with Teju Babyface, Jaywon took a hit at Odumodublvck and Burna Boy for saying “no one paved the way” for them in the music industry.

He added that despite his love for the ‘Declan Rice’ singer, his “music is not all that”.

“I see people like Odumodu, I love Odumodu even though I know his music is not all that but I love the energy. I have watched Odumodu for a while before he even blew up, it was one of my young boy that was distributing his music,” he said.

“I like the guy because the energy, the hard work, it eventually pays off. Because Burna Boy said nobody opened the way for him, you too are coming out to say nobody open the way for you. Yeah you are big but you do not say that.”

Disgruntled by Jaywon’s remark, Odumodublvck took his X page to lambast the singer while writing off his music.

He argued that despite his colleague’s years in the music industry, he has “nothing to show for it”.

Odumodublvck also urged Jaywon to look for ways to make money instead of engaging in interviews.

“Na why Ayra no gree hold your hand, make you no go talk say you have the way for her, still hold am for hand carry am go promise land,” he wrote.

“Baba you no pave any way for me. Awon FERMA, road maintenance agency. No go hustle, chor chor chor, babu workings.

“You like me, but you say my music is not all. OG no be by age, na by doings and coordination. When they can not do what you did, they start to belittle it.

“Mr Jaywon if my music is not all that, then your music is nothing. Bros you no be my OG, na me OD talk am. N****s always trying to play God because they released a song during the time of Melchizedek of old.”

Jaywon, the Nigerian singer, has claimed that Eedris Abdulkareem assaulted him while they were both under the Kennis Music label.

In a recent interview with Teju Babyface, the comedian, Jaywon described Eedris as a “bully”.

He claimed that after a concert, Eedris sent his associates to attack him for stealing the spotlight.

He also alleged that the ace rapper threatened to harm the bus driver if he stopped driving while he was being beaten.

“A lot of people might know Eedris, but I know Eedris. I was on the same label with him. We were at Kennis Music together and we had a couple of issues,” he said.

“Eedris is a bully. Ask anybody who knows him. Eedris once attacked me with his boys. He attacked me on a bus after a show because he felt I stole his shine at the concert. They were kicking me. It was even in the news that I was in a coma. I tried to stand and they were kicking me down.

“When I finally got up, I confronted the driver. I was like, ‘How will something like this be going and you are still driving?’ Eedris threatened to kill the driver if he stopped driving.”

Actress Ini Edo and filmmaker Chineye Nworah, who worked together on the Netflix series Shanty Town, are now fighting over who owns the movie.

News has come out that the Netflix team in Africa started discussions last year with Nworah and Giant Creative Media for a second season of Shanty Town because of the success of the first film.

But, on January 15, 2024, Edo sent a legal warning to Netflix, asking them to stop talking to Nworah and Giant Creative Media about making another season.

Ini Edo’s lawsuit provides specific details, arguing against Chineye Nworah’s exclusive rights to the series Shanty Town. Edo’s main points include:

  • Nworah should not be the only one in talks about continuing the series because he does not own it by himself.
  • The working relationship between Edo, Nworah, and another partner, Joy Odiete, began with an agreement on December 13, 2019. This agreement was to produce five movies over ten years.
  • In June 2021, a new deal was made involving Minini Empire Productions, Giant Creative Media (GCM), Nevada Bridge TV, and Champion One Entertainment. They all signed a “Shanty Town Investment Agreement.”
  • According to this investment agreement, the intellectual property (IP) rights are owned by both Minini Empire Productions and GCM. Additionally, they are entitled to 5% of the total profits from the project.
