Producer Yung Willis launches record label ahead of debut single
Yung Willis, the Nigerian producer, has launched Royals Music, his own record label.
The music label, which was unveiled on Tuesday, comes ahead of the release of his debut single ‘Givin Dem’.
‘Givin Dem’, the first track off his forthcoming album ‘Life of The Party’ (LOTP), is to be released on June 10.
For the album, Yung Willis has partnered with emPawa Africa, the music label owned by Mr. Eazi.
“Today marks the beginning of something groundbreaking for the future of talent discovery, artistes, music producers, sound engineers, songwriters & creatives or entertainment professionals generally,” he said.
“One person that always inspired me is Don Jazzy, with how he has shown through Mavin, that music can be structured by Nigerians at a global standard.
“Kanye West has also always been a big inspiration for me, both musically and entrepreneurial.
“I’m still that young boy from Abuja, still learning and trying to navigate through the entertainment industry but strongly believes in structure and I’m passionate about getting It right. I believe that it’s time for me to start small.
“With the launch of Royals Music, I can take the next phase in the evolution of my art and brand.”

Moses Bliss surprises mentees with new cars
In a gesture of appreciation and support, a renowned record label executive, Moses Bliss, has surprised his artistes, Neeja, SON Music, and Godfrey Gad with new cars.
In a now-viral video on Saturday showing the presentation of the gifts to the mentees under his record label, Spotlite Nation, Bliss said, “A year ago, by the mercies of God, we were able to give out three cars to Ebuka songs, Doris Joseph and Clinton, and today is exactly one year later and by God’s grace, we are about to give out another three cars to encourage the music talents we have in Spotlite Nation.”
The video showed the upcoming artistes entering the house, and upon seeing the surprise, they expressed shock, joy, and gratitude while being presented with their new cars.
Bliss further hailed the artistes while presenting the gifts and prayed for them.
“Thank you, you guys have been amazing. This is just a little appreciation from us at Spotlight Nation to say thank you for the work you do for the kingdom of God,” he added.
Expressing gratitude via his Instagram handle on Saturday, one of the artistes, Neeja, wrote, “Thank you so much, sir, my boss and mentor Min. Moses Bliss, for this wonderful gift. God bless you, sir.”
Meanwhile, SON Music wrote via Instagram, “Sir Moses Bliss, may the Lord continue to honour you greatly. I feel so loved. Thank you, Spotlite Nation. Congratulations, SON MUSIC.”
Also, Godfrey Gad wrote on Instagram, “Somebody wake me. My mentor, Moses Bliss, just gifted me a car. Jesus, somebody should wake me up. Thank you, Jesus.”

Family announces burial arrangements for junior pope
The family of Junior Pope Odonwodo, the late Nollywood actor, has announced his funeral activities.
Pope died on April 10 in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on his way to a movie location.
He passed away alongside four other crew members in a boat accident.
Pope’s demise led to the suspension of Adanma Luke, the producer of the upcoming movie in which the late actor was supposed to feature.
On April 19, the Enugu state government promised the actor’s family that he would be given a “befitting burial”.
In an e-flier shared on social media, the family said a wake keep will be held in Pope’s honour on May 16, while the funeral will take place the following day.
The funeral service will be held at St. Peter’s Parish Ukehe, Enugu state.
Pope was married to Jennifer Awele. They have three children together.
He began his career in 2006 but gained fame after appearing in the 2007 film ‘Secret Adventures’, directed by Tchidi Chikere.
He also featured in several other movies including ‘Throne of Tears’, ‘Always Mine’, ‘Mad Sex’, ‘Blood Afair’, ‘Gbege and No Way Through’.
He also received several recognitions for his talent.

Doris Simeon reveals why she relocated to America
Doris Simeon, the Nollywood actress, has revealed why she relocated to the United States.
Simeon, who was popular in the Yoruba film industry in the early 2000s, spoke about her relocation in an interview with Kunle Afod, her colleague.
The actress revealed she left Nigeria in 2018 so she could be closer to her child.
“As many people know, my child and his father reside in America, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to relocate here,” she said.
“I left Nigeria in 2018 and I have not returned since then. I miss Nigeria a lot. The things I miss most especially are the roadside food vendors. Things like roasted yam, roasted corn, food that they hawk.
“I miss my family and friends and I also miss being on set, especially when I see actors and actresses sharing behind-the-scenes moments on their social media platforms.”
Doris was a newscaster after which she delved into acting in the early 2000s.
