Tears as Akeredolu’s body arrives Nigeria from Germany (Photos)
The body of the late Rotimi Akeredolu, immediate former governor of Ondo, on Friday arrived in Lagos from Germany.
Akeredolu died on December 27 in Germany after a protracted battle with prostate cancer.
The remains of the late governor was brought in through the private wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
The corpse, in a coffin wrapped in the Nigerian flag bearing the coat of arms, was received by Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the wife of the late governor, Wole Akeredolu, his immediate younger brother, among other members of the family.
The governors of Lagos, Ogun state, and Osun also sent their representatives who were present at the airport.
