The African Book Industry Gets A Boost As School For Editors Launches
Today, a Nigerian-owned publishing company, Logos Audibles launches an online school for both beginner-editors and experienced editors.
The school currently has two courses, in what they describe as a diploma-like degree programme for editors and an MBA-like program for experienced books editors and proofreaders.
It is a holistic one year programme, categorised into:
7 days challenge
3 months group coaching programme and
an online self-paced learning mode, all in one.
Admission into any of the two courses lasts for a calendar year for the March 2022 Batch A session.
Speaking to the school creator, Chisom Utibe Akah, she mentioned that
‘this school was first established in 2018, and has graduated 3 alumni members who are today, experts in the editorial and author services industry in Nigeria.
So this new batch is a testament of what the future holds for Africa writers, and publishers as expert editors will be equipped to serve the industry better.
