15 Convicted Criminals Awaiting Prosecution In Gombe State
According to the Comptroller of Gombe Central Prison Yard, Adamu Mohammed Abba, A female and 14 male prison inmates in Gombe are to die by hanging, He revealed this when he received Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State who paid a courtesy visit to the prison.
The Governor expressed concern as regards how congested the prison is and he gave a standing order for those who are awaiting trial to be charged to court immediately
In his remark, the state Comptroller of Prison, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu, appealed to Dankwambo to offer free medical services and engage the inmates in various skill acquisition programmes.
