Wike, Adeleke, Soludo named in APC’s revised 2027 presidential campaign council

The revised All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list for the 2027 general election has included several prominent political figures, including Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The updated list, made available to journalists on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, also includes Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola and Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo.

President Bola Tinubu will serve as chairman of the council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda are among its vice-chairmen.

Former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari retains the position of Director-General.

APC appoints governors and senior politicians

Other prominent figures named in the campaign structure include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as council secretary, assisted by APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru and Hadiza Bala Usman.

The council also includes former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Works Minister David Umahi and House of Representatives member James Faleke.

Wike, Adeleke and Soludo receive state-level roles

Under the revised arrangements, Wike is listed as a campaign coordinator for Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory.

Adeleke is named as the coordinator for Osun State, while Soludo is listed for Anambra State.

Other governors and political figures have been assigned responsibilities across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

The inclusion of politicians associated with different political parties reflects the campaign council’s broad membership structure. However, inclusion on the list does not, by itself, establish that any individual has formally changed party membership.

The revised council forms part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
