Nigerian Footballer Arrested In India

A Nigerian footballer Daniel Bidemiayen has been arrested in India for staying in the country with a fake visa.

We understands that Daniel, 31, was arrested by the police on Wednesday having been staying in the country with a fake visa and passport since June 2015.

Further reports from the Times of India showed that the footballer, fondly called Bidemi, was arrested by the security agencies after they got information from the SCO (Security Control Organisation).

SCO officers raided the Madurdaha apartment rented by Bidemi before arresting him.

The Nigerian had played for Mohun Bagan in 2016 as well as representing several Calcutta Football League clubs like Chirag United SC, Mohammedan Sporting, Calcutta Port Trust, Bhowanipore FC, Tollygunge Agragami and Police AC since his got to the country.
