Amaechi Muonagor, the ailing actor, has pleaded for financial support to undergo a kidney transplant in India.

In November 2023, Tony Muonagor, the cousin of Ameachi, revealed that the actor was battling kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke.

He also said the actor’s condition deteriorated, requiring weekly dialysis and physiotherapy at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) in Nnewi, Anambra.

In a post on Instagram, Kingsley Orji, the Nollywood actor, said Amaechi left the teaching hospital some days ago due to financial constraints.

He said the illness has affected his speech, and urged fans and well-wishers to contribute towards a transplant surgery.

“It has not been easy. He has been in this condition for months now. He wants to go for a kidney transplant. What we want is for you to help us for him to travel to India,” Orji said.

“He just came back from the ICU in Nnewi teaching hospital a couple of days ago. He was responding to treatment but not very well.

“We decided to bring him home because there was no money but it is not advisable. He barely talks well. Please, he needs your help.”

The amount required for the surgery was not revealed.

Orji also provided Ameachi’s account details and contact information in the caption for those who wish to contribute.

Singer Bruno Mars is allegedly in a $50 million gambling debt.

Bruno Mars had signed a multi-year residency with MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas in 2016 and had continued to perform at the resort. However, in an interesting turn of events, the singer has now been accused of accumulating a debt worth $50 Million from gambling at the casino.

According to News Outlet, a source said, “He owed millions to the MGM. They basically own him. He makes $90 million a year off of the deal he did with the casino, but then he has to pay back his debt.”

Back in 2013 while speaking with GQ, the singer opened up about his previous trips to the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, and he reflected on those early days of gambling.

“I used to be like a loudmouth. You know the guy people would want to take his money. If you do get them to lose, they’re out for you, they’re gunning for you,” Bruno Mars said at the time. “And that’s when they’re weak. And that’s when you jump or pounce on them.”

“I remember my first bet, my hand was shaking, and a guy called me out on it and embarrassed me,” he said. “You gotta lose. You just have to lose to win, to understand,” he added.

Also during his Carpool Karaoke episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2016, Bruno Mars briefly revealed that he was able to make rent while living in L.A. by playing cards “for a little while.”

At the time of this report, Bruno Mars and his team had not responded to the allegations.
