UK Government Authorize Pfizer Vaccine for COVID-19 Treatment
The vaccine will be rolled out for the general emergency treatment of the coronavirus from next week.
Described as a major step forward in the fight against COVID-19, the government of the United Kingdom has authorized the Pfizer COVID vaccine for the treatment of the coronavirus infection, obviously the first of its kind from the west.
The approval was given on Tuesday, December 1, after Pfizer-BioNTech jab, an independent medicines agency, certified the vaccine for general use, Independent UK reports.
According to a statement released on Wednesday morning, December 2, the UK department of health and social care said the government accepted the recommendation for the rolling out of the vaccine next week.
Pfizer vaccine has been authorized for the general treatment of the coronavirus.
“The vaccine will be made available across the UK from next week. The NHS has decades of experience in delivering large scale vaccination programmes and will begin putting their extensive preparations into action to provide care and support to all those eligible for vaccination.
