The Emir of Karaye in Kano State, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II, has enjoined traditional rulers and Imams in the emirate to organise a special prayer for rain and for peace to prevail in their respective domains.
This was contained in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Emirate, Haruna Gunduwawa, yesterday.
The monarch made the remarks while receiving village and ward heads and imams from eight local government areas of the emirate who paid him a traditional Sallah homage at his palace on Wednesday.
The Emir also urged people to “continue to pray for peaceful coexistence, end of COVID-19 pandemic, as well as bumper harvest.”
