APC presidential campaign disowns list in circulation, says full team will be unveiled soon
The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council says a list in circulation purportedly naming some people as members of its organisation is false.
So far, only positions of director-general, secretary and spokesman have been filled.
Simon Lalong, governor of Plateau; James Faleke, a serving lawmaker; and Festus Keyamo, minister of state for labour and employment; have been appointed into the aforementioned positions respectively.
In a statement on Friday, Bayo Onanuga, the campaign’s media director, said the full team of the organisation would be unveiled soon.
“The party understands the interest of the general public in the APC and its presidential candidate,” Onanuga said.
The director said the media should exercise more restraint in dissemination of information that is not correct.
Referencing Faleke, Onanuga said the directorates of the campaign structure are still being put together in consultation with APC governors and other party stakeholders.
