Italy’s PM, Giorgia Meloni announces separation from partner

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced today she was separating from her partner, the father of her daughter, after he was recorded making sleazy comments and seemingly admitting an affair.

“My relationship with Andrea Giambruno, which lasted almost ten years, ends here,” Meloni wrote in a message on social media, saying their paths “have diverged for some time”.

The announcement comes after Giambruno, a television presenter, was caught making overtly sexual and sexist comments to female colleagues off-air on the sidelines of his talk show “Diario del giorno” (Daily diary) on the Rete 4 commercial station.

“How do you do, darling? Do you know that (name redacted) and I are having an affair? All of (television company) Mediaset knows it, and now you do too,” he is heard telling a woman who is also off camera.

“But we’re looking for a third person, as we do threesomes. Foursomes too. Would you like to be part of our working group?” he says in comments broadcast by a different television channel on Tuesday and Thursday.

Meloni, 46, is marking one year in power this weekend at the head of a right-wing government which strongly defends traditional family values.

She was forced to defend Giambruno in August after he was accused of victim blaming for comments he made about rape on his talk show.

Discussing two gang rapes over the summer, Giambruno, 42, said “if you avoid getting drunk and losing your senses, you might also avoid running into certain problems and coming across a wolf”.

In her post on Friday, Meloni thanked him for “the splendid years we spent together, for the difficulties we went through and for giving me the most important thing in my life, our daughter Ginevra”, who is seven years old.

Chinedu ‘Aki’ Ikedieze, the Nollywood actor, has unveiled Stephanie Promise as his new wife — implying his first marriage to Nneoma Nwaijah may have crashed.

Aki and Nwaijah held their traditional wedding in November 2011 at Obolo, Isiala Mbano, Imo state.

It, however, remains unclear if and when his first marriage ended and when he tied the knot with Stephanie.

In a recent post celebrating Stephanie’s birthday, Aki revealed that their union has been blessed with three children.

In the lengthy post, Ikedieze referred to his wife as “my best friend and love of my life”. The film star also described her as the “heart of our family” and the “rock we all lean on”.

The actor prayed for God’s blessings over his wife, adding that he was “endlessly grateful” for the life they are building together.

“My world, my love! On this special day, I want to celebrate not only your birthday but the incredible journey we’ve been on together. You have blessed our lives with two beautiful girls who light up our world, and now, we have been gifted with a precious baby boy,” he wrote.

“Watching you embrace motherhood with such grace and strength fills me with awe. You are the heart of our family, the rock we all lean on. Your love and dedication to me and our children are unparalleled, and I am endlessly grateful for the life we are building together.

“As we welcome our son, Chidubem Ivan Chinedu Ikedieze (CiCi), into this world, I am reminded of the boundless love and joy you bring into my life. You are my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life.

“On this special birthday, I hope you feel the immense tenderness and appreciation surrounding you, the unbreakable bond and the love that radiates within you.

“Happy Birthday, baby, my angel, my sweetheart. Here’s to many more years of laughter, love, and beautiful memories. Happy birthday to my soulmate @iammsp1.”

Faith, the wife of David Oyedepo, has advised single people against marrying under pressure.

In a recent social media post, the wife of the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide said people who hurry to get married “end up in regret”.
The cleric also argued that finding a good-looking spouse may not guarantee the union’s success.
“Those of you who are still single, don’t marry under pressure. Don’t manage to marry and don’t hurry to marry,” she said.
“Because those who do end up in regret. You just understand that a really good catch may not make a really good match.
“If you’re in a relationship with an unbeliever, no matter how long that relationship has been on, the earlier you put a stop to it the better so it will not disrupt your glorious destiny.”
David and Faith tied the knot in 1982.

Their union is blessed with four children – David Jnr., Isaac, Love, and Joyce.

During their 38th wedding anniversary in 2020, they both pledged to love each other forever.

Ex-Barcelona star Bartra, model girlfriend end relationship

Former Barcelona and Spain defender Marc Bartra and his model girlfriend Jessica Goicoechea have reportedly ended their relationship, according to Spanish journalist Abel Planelles.

According to Mirror UK, the couple, who had been together since 2001, gained attention earlier this year when Goicoechea revealed their unusual “sex deal” on a Spanish talk show.

During an appearance on “La Resistencia” in May, Goicoechea shared details of their intimate arrangement.

“If we don’t do it one day, you have to do it twice the day after,” she explained, with Bartra present in the audience. The pact was reportedly devised to maintain their connection during periods of separation.

The couple’s journey has been tumultuous, with previous breakups and reconciliations. They went public with their relationship in November 2022, shortly after Bartra’s divorce from journalist Melissa Jimenez, with whom he has three children.

Goicoechea, a successful model and influencer with 1.8 million followers, began her career at 15 and has since launched her own fashion collection and cosmetics brand.

Bartra, 33, who currently plays for Real Betis, is known for his stints at Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, where he was involved in a traumatic incident when the team bus was hit by a bomb blast.

While their relationship has ended for now, Planelles suggested that reconciliation isn’t impossible.

“They follow each other, they get along well, but it is true that the relationship has ended. You never know if there might be a second chance or a third chance, but right now the relationship between the footballer and the influencer would be broken,” she said.
