Doris Simeon reveals why she relocated to America
Doris Simeon, the Nollywood actress, has revealed why she relocated to the United States.
Simeon, who was popular in the Yoruba film industry in the early 2000s, spoke about her relocation in an interview with Kunle Afod, her colleague.
The actress revealed she left Nigeria in 2018 so she could be closer to her child.
“As many people know, my child and his father reside in America, and that’s one of the reasons I decided to relocate here,” she said.
“I left Nigeria in 2018 and I have not returned since then. I miss Nigeria a lot. The things I miss most especially are the roadside food vendors. Things like roasted yam, roasted corn, food that they hawk.
“I miss my family and friends and I also miss being on set, especially when I see actors and actresses sharing behind-the-scenes moments on their social media platforms.”
Doris was a newscaster after which she delved into acting in the early 2000s.

Simi reveals why she named her song ‘Men Are Crazy’
Simi, the Nigerian songwriter, has revealed why she named her song ‘Men Are Crazy’.
In April, the songwriter teamed up with Tiwa Savage to release the song — which stirred mixed feelings due to its title.
Simi, on the recent episode of Way Up with Angela Yee, said she chose ‘Men Are Crazy’ as her song title because she knew it would attract massive engagement from the opposite sex.
The singer said she initially had no intention of explaining her reasons for the title because people would understand better when the song hit streaming platforms.
Simi also acknowledged that the online reactions to the title increased anticipation for the song.
“You know it is actually very interesting. When we put out the name for the song, I think it was about a week before the song actually came out,” she said.
“So Tiwa and I posted like pictures from the video and we just posted men are crazy out and the men went crazy. I honestly was not going to go on an explaining spree at the time.
“I was like when the song comes out, they would understand what I am trying to say. Obviously, that also contributed to the PR or the rollout of the song.”

‘I’ve dated 100 ladies’ — Skales likens self to King Solomon
Skales, the Nigerian singer, has compared himself to King Solomon in the Bible while revealing he has dated “about 100 women”.
King Solomon was a monarch of ancient Israel who married 700 wives of royal birth and had 300 concubines.
Skales spoke about his intimate relationships with women when he featured on Drip Check At The Nike Store show hosted by Sheye Banks.
The 33-year-old singer said he had access to women and “could not get enough” during his teenage years.
He added that he would have been on the same path as King Solomon if it were not for his status as a married man.
“I have dated about 100 women or so. If I was not married I would probably be on the King Solomon path,” he said.
“Let me explain. I am in a different situation right now but back then I just could not get enough of women.
“Women are endless, you know? You keep going to the streets and you see women everywhere. As at then, I would have been like King Solomon.
“You know he had like so many wives and many concubines. This guy used to travel and take ships to meet these women.
“I did a lot of childish things back then. What do you expect from a teenager that had a lot of fame and lots of access to women?
“There were a lot of good women that I lost because of my childish mentality or behaviour and stuff like that. I am becoming a better man now.”
