‘We believe in Tinubu’ — Lege Miami says Shomolu residents won’t join #EndBadGovernance protest
Lege Miami, the actor, has claimed that Shomolu residents would not join the ongoing nationwide protest “because we believe in Bola Tinubu’s government”.
On Thursday, some Nigerians began a nationwide demonstration against escalating economic hardship and soaring inflation.
The protests have been dubbed ‘10 Days of Rage’ with the hashtag #EndBadGovernance.
In a video posted on his Instagram page on Friday, the entertainer is cheered on by a small crowd of young men believed to be residents of Shomolu.
Lege claimed the Lagos LGA was “peaceful” and that they decided not to protest against Tinubu’s government.
The actor, born Adams Kehinde, also said they “believe in the president to deliver on his mandate”.
“There is no protest in Shomolu. This is Shomolu area, this is where we were born and brought up. As we are like this, we cannot be against the government,” he said.
“This is because we want to be patient for the government to do what they are doing. We believe in the government of Bola Tinubu, we know he will deliver. Everywhere in Shomolu is peaceful.”
