Alibaba tackles men who feel insecure over their wives’ higher earnings

Alibaba, the Nigerian comedian, has taken to social media to address men who feel threatened by their wives’ higher earnings.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared tweets urging women earning more than their husbands to quit their jobs.

Weighing in on the issue, the 59-year-old suggested that men who earn lower than their wives should be the ones to quit their jobs instead.

He also urged the category of men to upgrade their financial status instead of feeling insecure.

“All these lies you people are sharing will keeeeee you people soon. Who are these women who fall for such lies? If you earn more than your man, let him quit his own job. Nonsense!” he wrote.

“Who are these lazy bumcums peddling these stupid narratives? You are earning N1.5m a month, and your madam is earning 10m monthly. And with that kind of job comes different benefits, you will tell her to resign.

“That means your self-confidence is financially driven and anchored. Insecurities my foot. So, Stedman will tell Oprah Winfrey to resign. Who is bringing up these men with self esteem that is defined by financial status?

“No wonder, once a woman looks rich and exudes prosperity vibes, these sort of mean become weaklings. Instead of being challenged and driven to upgrade your financial status. Shiooooo.”

Kanye West, the US rapper, and Bianca Censori, his wife, are reportedly on the brink of divorce.

According to TMZ, multiple sources claimed Ye and Censori called it quits a few weeks ago.

The insiders also alleged that Bianca, who works as an architect for Yeezy, Kanye’s fashion brand, returned to Australia to spend time with her family.

While the exact reason for the split remains unclear, sources claimed that Kanye has been telling those close to him about his plans to relocate to Tokyo. The rapper has been seen alone in Japan on several occasions.

He was seen enjoying a meal at a local Jamaican restaurant without his wife earlier this month, while his last solo outing saw him at a wrestling event in September.

The couple was last photographed together on September 20 during a shopping trip.

As of the time of this report, neither Kanye nor his representatives have addressed the rumours of the breakup.

Kanye and Bianca tied the knot in an intimate, private ceremony in January 2023.

Earlier this year, Kanye publicly defended his wife against criticism of her fashion choices, calling for an end to the negative commentary.

This would mark Kanye’s second high-profile split, following his divorce from Kim Kardashian, the reality TV star, with whom he shares four children.

Their eight-year marriage officially ended in November 2022 due to “irreconcilable differences.”

Days after announcing that he and his child’s mother, Halle Bailey, broke up, DDG has addressed the backlash he received on social media over the news.

Speaking on a recent episode of the No Ordinary podcast, the rapper emphasised that their split is a natural part of life and insisted that he and Halle remain family.

He said, “I have announced that me and Halle have split up, right? It’s life , it happens, she’s still family and I love her to death no matter what. Everything is still good and you never know what the future holds. Anything past that statement is nobody’s business.”

He expressed frustration over the speculation surrounding their breakup, noting that he was aware of the narratives being spun about him and the Little Mermaid actress.

DDG explained, “I have seen people creating stories, timelines and stuff. Nobody was wrong in this situation; nobody has come out to say he did this or she did that, no! Me and Halle are family and we are good; we’re just taking a little break; we don’t know what can happen in the future.”

“Beyond that statement is none of your business but y’all keep going. I go through my comments, mentions and DMs, and I see people who have no idea what’s going on talking,” he added.

“I don’t know anything about your life and you don’t know anything about mine, you know just a tiny bit because I allowed you to. When public figures give you a statement, take the statement and mind your business,” he concluded.
