Itoro Oyewobi’s Triple Book Launch Advances Education and Community Giving in Coventry

Deputy Lord Mayor, Member of Parliament, education leaders, businesses and

charities celebrate the launch of three books committed to lifelong learning and

social impact

COVENTRY, United Kingdom — August 14, 2026: Nigerian in diaspora Author,

educational writer and youth advocate ItoroAbigeal Oyewobi has successfully

launched three books designed to support children, teenagers and adults at different

stages of their personal, educational and professional development.

The Civic Triple Book Launch and Charity Fundraiser, held on Wednesday, August

12, 2026, at Jubilee Crescent Community Centre in Coventry, attracted civic leaders,

education representatives, corporate organisations, community partners, charities and

members of the public.

The three books unveiled at the event were My Ready Helper: A Guide to Growing

Into Oneself, The Prepared Teen: Building Confidence, Skills and Resilience for the

Future, and EdgeCraft: Redefining Readiness for a Changing World.

The Deputy Lord Mayor of Coventry, Councillor Julia Lepoidevin, attended the event

and delivered a civic speech and congratulatory message to the author. She also

performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting and formally unveiled the three books.

Member of Parliament for Coventry North West, Taiwo Owatemi MP, also attended

and delivered a congratulatory message. She expressed her pleasure at joining the

author, invited guests and members of the community to celebrate the literary and

charitable achievement.

Representatives from Coventry’s Central Library attended alongside members of

Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, the Operations Director of

PET-Xi UK and representatives of other corporate and community organisations.

The event featured a literary presentation and reading by Oyewobi, during which she

explained how the three books form a connected learning journey—from childhood

and adolescence to adulthood and the changing world of work.

Three Books for Three Important Stages of Life

My Ready Helper, written primarily for children aged eight to 12, follows Henry as he

learns about confidence, emotions, friendship, personal responsibility and identity.The book is intended to help parents, schools, charities, mentors and community

organisations begin constructive conversations with children about growing up.

The Prepared Teen, aimed at readers aged 13 to 18, addresses some of the pressures

young people encounter, including academic expectations, self-doubt, changing

relationships, emotional wellbeing and uncertainty about the future. It provides

practical guidance on confidence, resilience, communication, goal-setting and

responsible decision-making.

EdgeCraft extends the conversation into adulthood and the workplace. It explores how

individuals can remain relevant in a changing world by developing adaptability,

curiosity, sound judgement, continuous learning, meaningful relationships and the

ability to create value.

Oyewobi said the books were created around the belief that readiness should not be

viewed as a single achievement but as a lifelong process.

“These three books speak to different generations, but they are united by one central

message: readiness is not about knowing everything or never experiencing difficulty.

It is about developing the confidence, knowledge, resilience and willingness to keep

learning,” she said.

“My hope is that children will discover their strengths through My Ready Helper,

teenagers will become better equipped to navigate life through The Prepared Teen,

and adults will learn to develop their distinctive edge through EdgeCraft.”

Author Commits Royalties to Community Impact

A significant part of the launch was the presentation of giant checks by the author to

the event’s beneficiary charities: Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre, Coventry and

Warwickshire Mind, and Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire.

The presentations represented Oyewobi’s commitment to donate 100 per cent of her

authorship royalties from the three books to support community charities and

grassroots initiatives.

Representatives of the beneficiary organisations expressed deep appreciation for the

initiative and its potential to create a continuing source of community support.

Oyewobi said the royalty commitment was intended to ensure that every book

purchased would contribute both to personal learning and wider social impact.“Education must reach beyond the classroom,” she said. “I want these books to serve

a dual purpose: to empower readers with useful knowledge and to support vulnerable

members of the community through the donation of my authorship royalties.

“Every purchase is therefore more than the sale of a book. It is an investment in

knowledge and an investment in the community.”

Launch Generates New Partnerships

Beyond the formal speeches, book unveiling and presentations, the event created

opportunities for networking among education professionals, civic representatives,

charities, businesses and community organisations.

Discussions held during the event generated interest in new partnerships, school
