Emeka Ike breaks down in tears after learning of Olu Jacobs’ death
Nollywood actor Emeka Ike became emotional after learning about the death of veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
A video shared online showed Ike breaking down in tears shortly after being informed that his senior colleague had died.
Jacobs died on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the age of 84.
His family confirmed his death in a statement shared by his son, Olusoji Jacobs.
The emotional video of Ike has since attracted reactions from social media users as tributes continue to pour in for the late Nollywood veteran.
Ike is among several Nigerian actors and entertainers mourning Jacobs, whose career spanned more than five decades.
Jacobs became one of the most respected figures in Nigerian cinema after establishing a career that included British television, international films and Nollywood productions.
