The meeting took place on Thursday night, September 17, and photographs from the dinner were subsequently made public.

President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the engagement reflected the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and France and their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Photographs from the meeting showed Tinubu with Macron and French First Lady Brigitte Macron at the presidential palace.

The dinner adds to a series of engagements between Nigeria and France as both countries maintain cooperation across areas including trade, investment, security, energy and cultural relations.
