Nasarawa security operatives arrest suspected kidnapper posing as soldier
Security operatives in Nasarawa State have arrested a 42-year-old man over alleged involvement in kidnapping and armed robbery.
The suspect, identified as Alu Seadu, is from Bukan Sidi in Lafia Local Government Area.
He was arrested on Saturday, September 19, during a joint operation involving the Nigeria Legion, Nasarawa State Command, and troops of Operation Whirl Stroke.
Security authorities said preliminary investigations could not establish Seadu’s claim that he was a serving Nigerian Army officer.
Military apparel and other items were reportedly recovered from him during the operation.
The suspect remains in custody while security agencies continue investigations into his identity, alleged activities and possible links to criminal networks.
Authorities have not announced any conviction, and the allegations against him remain subject to further investigation and possible prosecution.
