Offset Raises the Stakes in Cardi B Divorce with Bold Requests

Offset has recently made a new request in his ongoing divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Cardi B.

The 33-year-old rapper is seeking joint legal custody of the three children he shares with Cardi B: six-year-old daughter Kulture, three-year-old son Wave, and six-month-old daughter.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ indicate that Offset believes Cardi B’s home should be the primary residence for the children.

Additionally, Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, is asking the court to establish each parent’s child support obligations. He also wants the court to divide the couple’s marital assets and require each party to cover their own legal fees.

Offset and Cardi B’s relationship has been tumultuous over the years, with last summer marking the third time Cardi B filed for divorce.

Cardi B, born Belcalis Almanzar, announced her pregnancy on August 1, the day after filing for divorce from Offset. While she previously filed for divorce in September 2020, she later withdrew the petition.

A representative for Cardi B clarified that the recent divorce filing was not prompted by cheating rumors but was a decision that had been brewing for some time.

A close friend of Cardi B revealed that the divorce had been a topic of discussion for a while and was not a sudden decision. The friend emphasized that Cardi B has remained calm throughout the process and is focused on her children.

Despite the divorce proceedings, Cardi B is reportedly excited about her future and is back in the studio recording new music. The friend noted that Cardi B’s overall well-being is positive.

The friend also mentioned that the two musicians, who have collaborated frequently, have been facing issues for at least a year.
