Margot Robbie adopts husband Tom Ackerley’s surname in company records
Australian actress Margot Robbie has begun using her husband Tom Ackerley’s surname in official UK business records, nearly 10 years after the couple married.
New Companies House documents connected to the couple’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, list the actress as Margot Elise Ackerley instead of Margot Elise Robbie.
Robbie and Ackerley married in December 2016 after meeting while working on the film Suite Française.
They co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment with Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr before their marriage.
The production company has been involved in films including I, Tonya, Promising Young Woman, Barbie and Saltburn.
Robbie and Ackerley also welcomed their first child, a son, in 2024.
Despite the change in corporate records, there has been no announcement that Robbie plans to stop using Margot Robbie as her professional screen name.
She is therefore expected to continue using the name by which she is widely known in the entertainment industry
