Cole Palmer signs new Chelsea contract until 2034
Chelsea have confirmed that Cole Palmer has signed a new long-term contract that will keep the England international at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The 24-year-old was already contracted to Chelsea until 2033 following an earlier extension, but his latest agreement adds another year and rewards his growing importance to the Premier League club.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and quickly established himself as one of the club’s most influential attacking players.
Chelsea said he has registered 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances for the club.
Palmer commits long-term future to Chelsea
Explaining his decision, Palmer said Chelsea means a great deal to him and expressed confidence that the club is moving in the right direction.
He said discussions with the ownership, sporting directors, coaching staff and teammates convinced him that they share ambitions to compete consistently for major trophies.
Palmer’s previous contract had already been one of the Premier League’s longest, running until 2033 after Chelsea handed him a two-year extension in August 2024.
The new deal takes that commitment through 2034.
Palmer’s rise at Chelsea
Palmer scored 25 goals during his first season at Chelsea and won both the club’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.
He was also named the Premier League Young Player of the Season and PFA Young Player of the Year.
His performances have remained central to Chelsea’s progress.
Palmer provided two assists when Chelsea beat Real Betis to win the UEFA Conference League and later scored twice and assisted João Pedro in the club’s 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
He has started the current campaign with four goals and two assists in his opening seven matches, according to Chelsea.
Palmer also has a significant role with England, having scored in the Euro 2024 final against Spain.
