Top Nollywood Actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola Stuns As She Clocks 40

Popular and sensational Nigerian actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola today, hit the 40 years mark on earth. The beautiful actress who was once one of the most popular faces on the Yoruba movie scene in the early 2000s, relocated to the United Kingdom years ago with her hubby, Olayiwola Owolomose.

An indigene of Ogun state, Opeyemi Aiyeola is a graduate of Lagos State University where she studied Accounting. She attended Our Lady of Apostles Private School in Yaba for elementary education and had secondary education at Remo Schools. She attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where she earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Accountancy.

Her first appearance in a movie was in the 1998 yoruba film, Aso Iye but her big break came when she stared in Gbenga Adewusi’s Ige Adubi.  Opeyemi Aiyeola, a crossover actress has also featured in several English productions including Wale Adenuga’s Super Story.

Other top movie’s Opeyemi has stared in include Tade Ogidan‘s Madam Dearest, Adun Ife, Kadara Mi and many others. She got married to Babatunde Olayiwola Owolomose in 2007 and the couple are blessed with two sons. The actress recently made a return to the movie industry after years of hiatus which she described as being necessitated by the need to build her home.

She chairs a group called Opeyemi Aiyeola Rehearsal Group, which nurtures upcoming talents. She also won the award for Best Supporting Actress (Yoruba) at BON Awards in 2015.
