‘Trolls struggling to buy fuel’ — Ruger hits Nigerians criticising his performance in Canada

Ruger, the Nigerian singer, has reacted to the criticism trailing his performance at his recent concert in Canada.

During the concert last week, Ruger thrilled thousands of fans in Canada who had come to watch his performance.

The ‘Dior’ crooner later called out five female concertgoers on stage to shake their buttocks.

“Warm up your yh. Before you come to me, warm up your yh,” he said.

He was also seen caressing and groping some of the ladies — although with their consent.

The video, however, didn’t sit well with some of his Nigerian fans.

Reacting to the backlash via his Instagram page on Monday, Ruger taunted his Nigerian critics for “spoiling our fun”.

He also wondered why “trolls struggling to buy fuel” still have the vim and vigour to attack celebrities on social media.

“It’s funny how these naija twitter trolls struggling to buy fuel try to spoil our fun,” he wrote.

Since President Bola Tinubu announced the end of the petrol subsidy, Nigerians have struggled to get the product; owing to the scarcity and current price.
