Davido claims Wizkid begged him to join proposed joint tour
Davido has claimed Wizkid “begged” him to participate in a proposed joint tour.
On Monday evening, a fight ensued between Davido and Wizkid on X after the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker mocked him and Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho.
Wizkid called Don Jazzy an “influencer” while taunting Davido with a video of him on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music.
The singer’s posts attracted criticism from a segment of social media users, including celebrities.
Reacting to the rift between the two music heavyweights, Tunde Ednut, the Instagram celebrity, shared a post wherein Wizkid announced the joint tour with Davido.
Ednut also asked if the joint tour will still come to life.
“So like this now, this tour no go happen again?” he wrote in pidgin English via his Instagram page.
But in a post via his Snapchat page, Davido implied that it was Wizkid who solicited for the joint tour.
“Beggie beggie,” he wrote.

Kizz Daniel, Tekno trade insults on X over ‘Buga’
Kizz Daniel, the Nigerian singer, has slammed Tekno over his comment while refuting a claim that he received royalties worth almost N1 billion from their hit song ‘Buga’.
In May 2022, the singers released the song which enjoyed a positive reception.
But a fortnight ago, a blog claimed that they had an interview with Tekno, wherein he said he “got featured on ‘Buga’ with no legal agreement”.
The post also claimed the ‘Pana’ singer “said Kizz Daniel sends him 50 percent of the revenue generated from the song every month”.
It alleged that he “admitted to receiving almost N1 billion from Daniel after his ‘Buga’ tour.
Replying to the post via X, Tekno described the interview as “fake”. He also implied that Kizz Daniel does not have such money to give out.
“Him money no reach. Anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama,” he wrote.
But reacting to the post on Monday, Kizz Daniel slammed Tekno, claiming he resuscitated Tekno’s music career with the hit song ‘Buga’.
“Dem mention money you sef dey talk… spewing shit like anus 🤣🤣 see ekuke way we rescue with BUGA !! 🤣🤣🤣 Oloribu omo ale,” he wrote on X.
In a swift response, Tekno questioned the motives behind Daniel’s tweet. Although he did not mention names, he warned his colleague not to underestimate him.
Tekno’s tweet was widely seen as a direct response to the criticism from Daniel.
