President Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad has reacted to actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde’s criticism of the Buhari-Osinbajo adminitration.

Omotola in a tweet she posted yesterday, said the country is hell under the watch of President Buhari. She wrote.

The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari @NGRPresident The lack of Money in circulation, Now coupled with the Continuous Assault n Killings by Uniformed men’ll make this Country implode!!!It’s Unbearable! Do something!Insecurity!Fear n Desperation everywhere.

Reacting to her tweet, Bashir in a tweet, stated that those who are making money legitimately have no complain about the current state of Nigeria. He wrote.

Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’. In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.

Police arrests actor Orpheus Pledger for assault — after 3-day manhunt

Published

By

Orpheus Pledger, the Australian actor best known for his role on the popular soap opera ‘Home and Away’, has been arrested by the police after a three-day manhunt.

Pledger was wanted on assault charges stemming from an alleged attack on a woman.

The incident, captured in now-viral CCTV footage, purportedly shows Pledger dragging the woman to the ground and stomping on her head.

The actor appeared in Melbourne magistrates’ court on Monday and was charged with four counts of assault.

He was first arrested on March 25 and was held in pre-trial detention.

The movie star was granted the right to undergo an assessment at the hospital after Matthew MaCuspie, his lawyer, argued that his client’s mental health was at risk if he remained detained behind bars.

He was due in court on Tuesday for a mental health evaluation but failed to show up.

Justin Foster, the magistrate, expressed frustration at attempts to accommodate Pledger’s mental health needs.

“I will never make an order like that again … (I) bent over backwards to try and offer someone mental health treatment as they require,” the magistrate said.

Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest, leading to a manhunt that concluded on Thursday afternoon.

Details of Pledger’s arrest have not been disclosed by the police.

The actor is now required to appear in court on May 10.

Pledger’s assault case is not his first brush with the law.

In 2021, he was arrested on drug charges and received a good behaviour order.

Pledger played the character Mason Morgan on ‘Home and Away’ from 2016 to 2019.

He also briefly appeared on season three of SAS Australia before voluntarily withdrawing due to ‘erratic behaviour’.

I’ve been in love with girls my whole life, says Billie Eilish on sexuality

Billie Eilish, the US singer and songwriter, has opened up about her sexuality.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the 22-year-old revealed that she has had a lifelong attraction to women. She also said she is ready to fully embrace it.

“I have been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just did not understand — until, last year, I realised I wanted my face in a vagina,” she said.

Eilish said it took her time to accept this aspect of herself and criticised the pressure from the internet to disclose one’s sexuality.

She added that it is important to allow individuals to define their identity at their own pace.

“I was never planning on talking about my sexuality ever, in a million years,” she added.

“I have known people that do not know their sexuality, or feel comfortable with it, until they are in their forties, fifties, sixties. It takes a while to find yourself, and I think it is really unfair, the way that the internet bullies you into talking about who you are and what you are.”
