Adeleke’s campaign council pledges 1.5 million Osun votes for Tinubu in 2027
The Imole Campaign Council in Osun State has pledged to mobilise 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The pledge was announced on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, by the council’s Director-General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, following the inclusion of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the revised All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
Adeleke was named the Osun State Coordinator of Tinubu’s presidential campaign council.
Imole Campaign Council welcomes appointment
In a statement, Oyewumi welcomed Adeleke’s appointment and expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to coordinate campaign activities in Osun State.
He said the political structure of the Accord Party in the state would work towards achieving the council’s electoral target.
The council also encouraged residents and political stakeholders in Osun to support Adeleke’s administration.
The pledge follows earlier statements by the governor expressing his support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Adeleke joins revised APC campaign structure
The revised presidential campaign council also includes Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Their inclusion reflects the participation of political figures from different party backgrounds in Tinubu’s campaign arrangements.
Adeleke recently secured another term as Osun State governor after contesting on the platform of the Accord Party.
According to the declared governorship election results, he received 511,067 votes, while APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji polled 444,815 votes.
The Imole Campaign Council’s pledge of 1.5 million votes is a political mobilisation target and does not represent a forecast or confirmed electoral outcome.
