Cute Abiola is not missing, he’s in our custody, says Navy
The Nigerian navy has debunked claims that Abdulgafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, the skit maker better known as Cute Abiola, is missing.
Mr. Macaroni, a colleague comedian, had expressed concerns about his whereabouts in a Twitter post on Tuesday.
He had stated that Cute Abiola was last seen on November 15 after he left for his office at Navy Town in Lagos.
In reaction, the navy, in a statement signed by Suleman Dahun, a representative of the force, said it had detained the skit maker in its custody for disobedience and breaching the armed forces social media policy.
If the Nigerian Navy has any information to help Cute Abiola’s family and friends confirm his whereabouts or if he his in their custody, I think the honorable thing to do would be to clarify details surrounding his detention and put everyone’s mind at rest. Haba!

“No date has been stated for his release from custody. The most frustrating part is that nobody is talking anything as to the offense he has committed, but that he’s been detained on an order from the navy headquarters,” he added.
“This unfortunate situation has rendered his wife emotionally traumatized as the Cute Abiola is an Ulcer patient.
“Hence, not feeding an Ulcer patient as punishment for an undisclosed offense is something to be worried about with the view to avoiding unnecessary circumstances with regards to the health of The Cute Abiola.”
