A Kano Pillars midfielder, Abdul Haruna has died this evening during a friendly match in Kano. The player collapsed during the friendly match between his colleagues and some overseas-based professionals held in a very small pitch in Kano.
According to Pillars media officer, Idris Malikawa the death of Haruna remains a mystery to the club. He said Haruna fell down unchallenged and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty. The club prayed for his soul to rest in perfect peace. Amen!
